Dizziness has patterns

Some dizziness is brief and situational. Other patterns, such as spinning vertigo, repeated imbalance, or symptoms triggered by head movement, may involve the vestibular system.

Track what happens

Note how long episodes last, what triggers them, whether hearing changes occur, and whether nausea, headache, or falls are involved.

Why audiology can help

Audiologists are trained in the hearing and balance systems. A careful history and testing plan can clarify whether inner-ear involvement is likely.

Get urgent care when needed

Seek urgent medical attention for dizziness with chest pain, weakness, severe headache, double vision, trouble speaking, or sudden hearing loss.
